The Jasper & Co Story

Jasper & Co Dog Shop was born from a whole lot of love—for dogs, adventure, and getting creative with both.

It all started with Jasper, my first blue merle Australian Shepherd and my ride-or-die adventure buddy. We were inseparable. Losing him unexpectedly just before his eighth birthday broke my heart—but his wild, joyful spirit still inspires *everything* I do. These days, the house is anything but quiet, thanks to Tucker (Jasper’s full-blooded brother with a serious goofy streak), Wilder (our chaos-loving explorer pup), and Penny the cat—queen of mischief and totally unimpressed by the dogs.

Before this dog-gear dream, I spent 20 years as a NICU RN, caring for tiny, critically ill infants and transporting them from rural hospitals as part of the Neonatal Transport Team. It was meaningful work—but also incredibly intense, especially during the pandemic. Eventually, I hit burnout and knew it was time to chase a different kind of calling. One that involved wagging tails, muddy paws, and a whole lot more joy.

So I took the leap and started designing rugged, road-tested gear for dogs who don’t sit still. Around here, our pups are always on the go—hiking, camping, road-tripping, splashing in creeks, you name it. I wanted to create dog gear that could keep up (and look good doing it).

What started as a scary leap of faith turned into the best kind of tail-wagging adventure. I'm so grateful to this amazing dog-loving community for supporting our small business. I hope our gear becomes part of your pup’s most unforgettable adventures.
